...because i'm easily confused okay. and this seems like it might help.
✔ are there any guidelines regarding true names? there really isn't a guideline that you have to follow. most names will end in 'less' like 'loveless' but that isn't necessarily true for all names. for example, beloved. it's really up to you in the end. it really can't be anything outrageous or random, though. it usually has a lot to do with both the people in the unit and something about them or their personalities. (doll)
✔ is this a very large island? is there much of a population outside of the academy, or is that about it? i'd say that it's a decent sized island. there are people outside of the academy. it's like a normal city, really, just on a island. (doll)
✔ on the assumption that people come from various places to attend this academy, how do the students come to be there? some people are born on the island, come there for family reasons, come there because of jobs; it's like a normal place really. the students can go to the school if they want to expand on their abilities as fighters/sacrifices. it's a normal school besides that. they come to the school because they want to be there so they can learn about their abilities and such. or even, if you want, you can have their parents force them to be there. it's like an average boarding school, expect with the extra abilities. (doll)
✔ how does a fighter/sacrifice discover that's what they are? well, in most cases, the symbol or their true name will appear somewhere on their body. if they are a blank, it's hard to tell really. for example, cove's character memphis was accidentally drawn into a spell battle and that's how he figured it out. then zeros are made into fighters and sacrifices, so they know that way. THIS is a good guide to look at if you're curious about zeros. (doll)
✔ how do partners find each other? how do they know another person is their unit? do they have to see a name written on their body, or do they just have a feeling? it's a gut feeling. like instinct, almost. they should just know. it may take certain lengths of time for one part to find another, but when they do come across each other, they should feel it. though seeing the name on their other half may lead to them reacting to their feelings and establishing a connection. (cove)
✔ if a partner dies, does the name go away? no, their name doesn't go away. they are pretty much stuck with it for the rest of their lives. a sacrifice or fighter that has lost their partner are unable to form any other unit-bonds, their old name serving as a reminder. they are left with the name or symbol unless they have partaken in the zero project which, through an extensive process, their true name is changed to zero. (cove)
✔ what time of year is it? currently, mid-year. (cove)
