Well well seems you have stumbled upon my wonderful little bundle of musical talent Simon Vanek. So what is there to Simon you might ask? Well there really isn't a huge lot that goes with this guy, he's creative, full of ideas, and has a tendency to hold people to higher standards. He is the current Orchestra teacher for Avalon Academy, as well as a unclaimed Fighter. Though he is unclaimed, he hasn't really been looking for his other half, not that he isn't hoping one will show up he just hasn't had the time to really up and go look or one.

Before teaching at Avalon Simon was a rather well accomplished Cellist.

He lost his ears when he was 14 and it was to a woman five years older than him. Relationships weren't really something he thought he'd up and just get back into but there is something between him and Dahlia St. Claire, not that he would out and say that. Since she's one of his students and all.

Though it wasn't precisely what she had intended, the feelings that Dahlia has for Simon are drawing dangerously close to love. It began as a crush, when a missing elective credit forced Dahlia to sign up for orchestra in her third year. The girl had never played an instrument and had no idea what she was getting into, but her reluctance vanished upon meeting her new instructor. Mr. Vanek was hard on her, but Dahlia could see that he was simply pushing her to do her best, to learn quickly to catch up with the majority of the class that had years of experience. Though she didn't quite require it, Dahlia requested special attention, meeting with him once a week after school for a time, and then twice a week, and then...

It was a few months before Dahlia decided that he would be hers, but once she did it was final in her mind. Her intention was not to find a lover but a fighter, and Mr. Vanek's cool detachment was perfect. Dahlia did what she could to become close to him, but of course she couldn't just up and ask her teacher to claim her. Simon was understandably hesitant the first time she kissed him, but Dahlia knew then that he was caught. It might have seemed scandalous to some, but they kept it between the two of them. Their relationship may as well have come straight from a soap opera, complete with nighttime meetings and kisses stolen in empty classrooms.

And then it happened, right at the end of Dahlia's third year. The two of them were returning to the campus rather late at night and came across a unit Simon's age terrorizing a pair of Avalon students. Simon stepped in without hesitation, taking Dahlia as his sacrifice as if it were a matter of course, something you wouldn't even question. The two of them have fought together on more than one occasion since, and this time Dahlia has little reservation about falling for him wholeheartedly... which she may well do, and that suits her just fine as she fully intends to make him hers for good. so jace here is a cellist as well! i imagine she'd look up to him and admire him for his cello-playing, and she'd probably be a student in his class. i'm thinking they could also do private lessons? jace'd be somewhat of a model student--she likes playing and practices whenever she can. she probably started playing from an early age too.

apart from a student-teacher/mentor relationship, jace would have no qualms of making a friend out of simon. tell me what you think!
